Overwatch Review

Overwatch could be the first new IP from developer Blizzard Entertainment along with the new I could recall them ever releasing a console counterpart of your new game the afternoon as PC. The bingo flew under my radar until I played its beta, together with millions of other gamers. Actually playing Overwatch the very first time, it gets its hooks directly into you. It doesn't matter what play style you've got or what character you play as, there's fun that can be had. I've only played a handful of hours with the final release, but it hasn't disappointed in the slightest and I can't wait to determine how a prestigious Blizzard supports this title throughout its initial release as well as the future.

That's not me likely to sugar coat anything here. There's a small cutscene whenever you boot the game that provides context to the characters you'll play as within your time with Overwatch, but I can't say I even frolicked to watch it. I'm certain it becomes an interesting couple of minutes, but I'm not really investing time and funds into Overwatch for the story. Thankfully the game recognizes that and that is the last you get from the form of story.

What replaces a narrative will be 21 very detailed and other heros. These heros include the core of Overwatch and they're what increase the risk for game stand out from other first person multiplayer games. Each one of these bring specific abilities to a match which enable it to really meld well to characters during combat. And not one character feels vital for a team to achieve success. I might say an entire team could play as the same character and still have an opportunity of winning a match, albeit a tiny chance depending on what character.

In the same vein though, there isn't a character that sticks out like a must play every match type. Each character has their unique weakness and strengths, it's up to the player to use them on their fullest potential. All the 21 characters includes a few abilities up their sleeves that are great for their play style and sophistication type. Some characters admittedly feel a little bare in comparison with others, however in the end, all of them feel nice to play as.

The maps in Overwatch are extremely fun to play on. They serve the characters more than anything and setup specific choke points that beg one to be an organization to conquer. They look very stylized, but more to the point they don't eliminate through the characters inhabiting them.

Game modes are incredibly standard. You might have capture and defend type matches, in addition to escort missions. These are generally both thrown in to the same quick play option. You may also play against A.I. that will create custom matches.

Additionally there is a leveling system available. It is quite standard and moves along at a brisk pace. It'll be interesting to determine if people stay around following the presumed level 50 cap. I know it's going to be raised soon after months though. Customization comes in are character skins, emotes, voices, and sprays. They may be fun to gather, but you are definitely not the reason why We are amongst people to try out the action.
